NAME
- Green-Breasted Mango Anthracothorax prevostii
DESCRIPTION
- Overall: A large green hummingbird, stocky, with a relatively long, thick, decurved bill and broad tail.
- Adult Males: Mostly deep iridescent green with a dark purple throat and mostly purple tail.
- Adult Females: Like male but with dark stripe from throat running down breast, where it turns green. Rest of underparts white, giving a distinctive striped look.
- Immature Males & Females: Similar to females with additional, striking cinnamon stripe from the base of the bill to the lower flanks.
